Belinda started performing her own written poetry as a kind of therapy for getting over cancer and other things that were happening in her life. Encouraged by the “Some Kind of Poetry Group”; she has gone from strength to strength and has taken part in many organised poetry events in Colchester as well as hosting some of them through the Colchester Spoken Word Facebook Group. She is a keyboard warrior for all things Colchester and hosts two community pages – Hythe Colchester Stay in the know (where there are all kinds of issues) and the Colchester Blackheath Community Group. It wasn’t until she became an active member of the Save Middlewick Ranges Campaign that her Eco consciousness began to grow rapidly with her liaison with en-form and Eco Colchester.

I am an active member of the North East Essex badger group, wildlife photographer, artist and poet. I’m also a member of the Save Middlewick campaign internal ecology group. Most of the poems I intend to perform are short and should be fine to fit into the short slot.
